Arrival by Car and Parking Information

Parking restrictions will be in place on campus during the event. Attendees who park on campus must register on the following link ahead of the event: https://nottingham.firstparking.co.uk/Event/Register/n0FhSzXe

The conference lectures, including the first evening after dinner, will take place in the Sir Clive Granger building:

Sir Clive Granger
Cut Through Lane
University Park
University of Nottingham
Sat nav postcode: NG7 2RD

The nearest parking to the Sir Clive Granger Building is the University of Nottingham Main Visitor Car Park (NG7 2RX). The buildings are located on a hill so the best step/slope free route is to leave the car park at the rear and cross the lawned area, before walking around the Clive Granger Building.

Arrival by Public Transport

The nearest rail stations are Nottingham and Beeston (fast line from London). From Nottingham Station, the quickest option is the tram towards Toton, getting off at University of Nottingham (by the South Entrance). Several buses also serve the campus from the city centre, including the Skylink, stopping on University Boulevard by the South Entrance (around a 5–10 minute walk to the venue). From Beeston Station, the venue is around 10 minutes by local taxi.

Accessing Clive Granger Building

Please be aware there is some scaffolding around the Clive Granger Building from recent roof works (now complete!). Please use the main entrance to Clive Granger and then follow the wide corridor down to your event space in Lecture Theatre A48 and A43.

Key Accommodation Information

Please be aware that Cripps Hall is a traditional University Hall of residence with no air-conditioning. Currently, we’re not expecting another heat wave but if one is forecast, you may want to bring your own fan.

All delegates who have specifically requested a ground floor or ensuite bedroom have been allocated these. All bedrooms are either en-suites or ‘paired shared’ bathrooms with 2 bedrooms accessing 1 bathroom.

There will be a bar available on site each evening in the bar-lounge; which takes payment by card. We have an under 18’s group staying elsewhere within the hall so if you are lucky enough to look under 25, please bring ID with you.

Parking at Cripps Hall of Residence

Parking restrictions will be in place on campus during the event. Please ensure you use the parking link provided above to register your car.

There is a small car park available at Cripps Hall with additional parking on Lenton Hall Drive.

Venue address: Cripps Hall of Residence, Lenton Drive, University Park Campus, University of Nottingham, NG7 2RD

Travelling Between Cripps Hall and Sir Clive Granger

It is a short walk (approx. 10 mins) from Cripps Hall to the Sir Clive Granger Building – please follow the path down through Cripps Hall, follow the path down the hill and past the car park. You will then need to walk round the Clive Granger Building to the main entrance.

There are a couple of stairs here so if you have limited mobility, it may be more convenient to park in the car park next to Clive Granger.
